I purchased a number of this product for our Thanksgiving dinner. We have a large family and quite often the food is a bit cold once it sits on the table and everyone gets around to eating. If you warm the dish up first (as instructed) using hot water the food will stay warm for an extended period of time. The reson for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is not spill proof. If the container is at the right angle the liquids will leak out.

The Thermaware is an exellent product for short term storage, good for food preparation befor the pary starts. It will keep the food warm long term but not likely in the safe temperature range.

This is the best food warmer I ever bought. Everybody that sees it asks about it and loves how easy it is to open and close. It keeps food really warm for over 6 hrs. I mainly use it for keeping (Rotis) Tortias warm in it.
