got as a gift 5+years ago and love it--it's light weight--the top locks securely- top has 2 size holes on it for various size pasta. haven't even needed pot holders to hold handles when emptying.it's not pretty to look at but it looks well seasoned and going strong. it's not going to be a forever pot but I'm willing to replace it when needed.

I received this pasta pot for my birthday (black version), and I really like it. At first glance the oval shape seemed a little odd, but it accommodates spaghetti and other long noodles very well. After using it a few times I find I really like the oval shape though, and find it makes for an attractive pot. I LOVE the fact that the lid locks in place and leave me with both hands to hold the handles and pour the water out. It gives me the option of leaving the noodles in the pot and adding the sauce to it to toss and keep warm. Clean up is extremely easy because of the non-stick coating. My old pasta pot and insert was stainless steel and could sometimes be a pain to clean because the gluten hardened at the water evaporation line.

I have an old stove with front and back burners somewhat closer together than I would like. Another advantage to the shape is that it doesn't bump up against the pot on the burner in front.

great shape very happy with my purchase. did great through the dishwasher. comes in interesting bright colors. i just got black though.
