Universal Cookware Pot Plastic Grip Glass Lid Cover Knobsuperusa

The handle on the lid for my West Bend slow cooker cracked and broke into pieces and when I called the company, they told me my model was discontinued, but they could send me a different handle for like $13. They recommended that I go to my local hardware store and find a replacement there. I did, but was unable to find one. On a whim, I searched Amazon and found this one. I had to work a little to get the screw in, because it is just barely long enough, but I did get it in, and it seems nice and tight. The metal part gets a little hot when the crock pot is on, but other than that, it is perfect.

The metal is so thin and flimsy it bends and deforms with normal handling, and the screw is too short.

The handle is study enough, but was difficult because the screw DID NOT fit a glass lid as advertised. My husband had to take to take the lid to a local hardware store with the lid in hand to find a longer screw that would fit a glass lid. With the trouble it took to make it work, I would not purchase this item in the future. If I could give it 2-1/2 stars that is where it seems to fit. It is not "just okay" (3 Stars) but it did the job eventually so I don't dislike it either (2 Stars). Bottom line, buy one at Bed, Bath & Beyond or Home Goods or any other supplier so you can get one that works without any hassle.
