Great pot so far!,
January 7, 2008 This review is from: T-fal A9228064 Specialty Nonstick 12-Quart Stockpot Dishwasher Safe Stock Pot Cookware, Black (Kitchen)
We bought this to replace an old Calphalon pot which crashed to our floor and bent out of shape. The old pot was wonderful, but quite heavy and you had to hand wash it. This one retains the nonstick feature (an essential when making split pea soup), yet is much lighter. The glass lid has a vent built into it, making overflows much less likely. Lastly, the whole thing can go into the dishwasher if you want, but is easy to wash by hand, too, especially since it is lighter weight than the old pot. You can maneuver it around.
We still have another T-Fal piece that we bought over 20 years ago, and it's still going strong! That's what led us to buy this one.
The one possible negative I could even think of is that it's very tall, making it a little difficult for us folks of shorter stature to ladle out the soup. It is a 12 quart pot, though, so you have to expect the volume to come from somewhere.
Overall, a great pot! And we do a lot of cooking!!!

The lid doesn't quite fit perfectly,
September 14, 2008 This review is from: T-fal A9228064 Specialty Nonstick 12-Quart Stockpot Dishwasher Safe Stock Pot Cookware, Black (Kitchen)
The overall performance of the stock pot is good, but not great. It has a tall body so it makes the boiling soup harder to spill out and create the mess on the stove top. The non-sticky part inside and out seems very sturdy and lasting, and that makes the cleaning part easy too because the grease and stuff can easily be washed off from the smooth surface. The only compliant I have to this product is that because of the tall body the pot has, the metal cylinder doesn't seem to hold its shape perfectly. The top opening seems to be distorted a little; therefore, the glass lid can't fit there perfectly. I often need to turn the lid slightly to the left and then to the right a couple of times in order to adjust the lid to fit into the pot opening.

For those of you who need a big pot for Chili, soups, and the like, this is the pot for you. Tired of sorry overflow type pots? This one is great for the job! I plan on buying another one. Works great for big family spaghetti dinners, and stews too. I highly recommend!!!!!!
