I have baked casseroles, veggies, apple dumplings, and pot pies in them. The handles makes it so easy to remove from a hot oven. Handles are comfortable and large enough. My only complaint is that the pictures on the internet show a lovely lemon yellow which induced me to buy. The reality is that they are 1960's "Harvest Gold", NOT lemon yellow. I can only assume that the lovely lime color is actually muddy and that the beautiful royal blue is in fact dark prussian blue. I did debate about sending them back because I was disappointed in the color.
