I have lost over 60 pounds in the last nine months. It is NOT directly because of the these steamers, but the fact is THESE steamers make eating healthy a lot less time and trouble.

I cook for one. And these steamers have changed the way I cook. I have a couple and I use at least one every day, I usually use both to cook my dinner.

The instructions and menus supplied with the steamer are not very detailed. The is a GREAT product and the manufacturer needs to use the written materials included with the steamers to market the product.

These silcon steamers are the best thing that ever happened to the microwave,IMHO. That is what has held the microwave back, the nature of the cookware. One needs exceptional cookware to cook tasty meals on one's stovetop and so it is with the microwave.

I few months ago I started using the Ziploc Zip and Steam bags. They worked great to quickly steam veggies, but I hated how you just throw them away after a use. (I even re-used the bags sometimes, but you could only do once or twice before they were too dirty or warped). I stumbled upon this product and am so glad I did. It's a permanent version of the zip'n'steam bags. It seems even more powerful though. So far I've done frozen asparagus and 2 minutes wasn't quite enough, but three was a little much. I would do 2 and a half for frozen asparagus next time. Same with frozen green beans. So far, I've only done frozen veggies as that's what I've had on hand, and while it works well, you get a pool of water in the product. No big deal, I just pour that away.

I think it will work even better with fresh veggies, I imagine with those there is no pool of water.

Have several Okra products. Love them all!! This definetly a single serving steamer. But works great for broccoli, brussel sprouts, etc. Steams w/out water or oil, but still moist and good!
