1.0 out of 5 stars Non-Stick Coating Falls Off, April 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 3-Quart Covered Saucepot (Kitchen)
I purchased two of these Circulon saucepots in the past two years. They have an attractive appearance, and a good size for small meals of soup and whatnot.

However on both pots the non-stick material began to flake off in less than a year of very modest usage.

I own other Circulon pots, and they hold up remarkably well. That's why I bought a second one of these. Turns out the problem was not a fluke. Once the interior coating starts to flake you get some ugly corrosion inside the pot, and I decided to discontinue use.

Fool me twice, shame on me. I don't have a problem with other Circulon cookware I own - but do NOT recommend this particular model. YMMV

Great little pot!! I've been needing a pot for making rice, and the three quart size is what suited my needs. I cook big pots of Chili, and I like to serve mine with rice. None of my smaller sauce pots were big enough, and my larger pots were too big. I have two other pots in this particular line; the 5 quart stockpot, and the 7 1/2 quart/dutch oven/stockpot.
I am so pleased with this line of Circulon. I have a respectable collection of different kinds/lines of cookware, but these three pieces which I have added within the last year, get used more than anything else in my kitchen. These pots are not heavy, and have no "hot spots", either.
I recommend them highly as wedding gifts or house warming presents, and I have no doubt that I will enjoy them for many, many years to come. Thank you, Circulon!!!!!
I also use it to make Enchilada Sauce, and small pots of Chicken and Turkey Soup.
Cleanup is effortless, and I don't have to pamper this cookware. I... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Flakes off in food, does not wash clean, October 3, 2011
This review is from: Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 3-Quart Covered Saucepot (Kitchen)
I own several hard anodized pans in other brands that I LOVE. But, this Circulon pan is awful! I just got it last week and used it for the first time yesterday. The spaghetti sauce that I heated in it smelled weird, and had black flakes from the pan floating in the sauce! And, I could still smell and see sauce on a white paper towel after washing the pan with soap and water. I will not buy anything from Circulon again. There are other brands that are less expensive and do not have these problems.
