Poaching is one of the healthiest ways to prepare eggs, since it doesn't use butter or oil. However preparing a perfect poached egg isn't necessarily the easiest thing to do. Cuisipro's egg poacher makes poaching eggs foolproof. The egg poacher uses the traditional method of poaching eggs, cooking the eggs in barely simmering water. Similarly to a traditionally poached egg, Cuisipro Egg Poacher allows water to circulate around the egg. The circulation holes on the bottom and back of the poacher allow water to gently flow around the egg for a tender textured poached egg.
- Holes circulate water around egg to gently poach it
- Poacher securely hooks onto rim of pan; Hooked onto rim of pan it is easy to manage multiple eggs
- Back holes easily drain excess water away preventing cooking water from remaining on the egg
- BPA-free, non-stick, food safe silicone easily rinses clean
- Heat-resistant to 575-Degree F/300-Degree C; dishwasher Safe-top shelf

I don't want to buy a egg poacher pan coated with non-stick surface. I might as well fry my egg in oil. I don't understand how they can call those eggs poached, they are basically fried over boiling water. A poached egg is in a solution of water. I purchased these egg poachers made of silicone to poach eggs. They do work, but there is a learning curve. First time, my eggs clogged the holes and the whites got stuck to the silicone. It was a mess and the eggs were under cooked. The 2nd time, I put a bit of oil in the water and on the silicone. It was better, but I still under cooked the eggs. The 3rd time, I left them in the water for 6 - 7 minutes, a bit over cooked, but not bad. I recommend about 5 - 6 minutes at almost boiling water to start. The key is to find the point just about boiling and letting the eggs sit in the water without boiling, but hot enough for the silicone to stay hot. It takes some time to master... There is plenty of water in my pan, roaring with boiling water, but still the eggs take a long time to cook. I think its just a bad design for poaching eggs. Also, extremely difficult to clean properly after cooking the egg. I have to use a knife or fork and poke the stuck on food threw holes. Also, have to scrub with kitchen sponge before placing in my dishwasher. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Richard K Smith (Baltimore, Maryland United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Browne & Co Cuisipro Egg Silicone Poacher Set of 2, Red (Kitchen) When I first saw these, I thought they would be the perfect tools to use to poach eggs. They are well designed and the quality is excellent. The only problem is that even after oiling the silicone, the eggs still tend to stick, and it is very time-consuming to clean all the tiny holes that become clogged with egg. If these were made of stainless steel I think they would be better. I like the idea of the eggs poaching in the water that enters through all the holes, but considering the time it takes to prepare them and then the cleaning, it becomes more of a chore than I would like to poach eggs. |
