She spent around $80 on it. For that amount of money I expected a great pan, but that is not what I got. For a while this pan did what it was supposed to and I was really impressed. After just weeks of heavy use the pan is worthless! To make matters worse, a lot of the 5 star reviews for it on Amazon (even the ones tagged helpful) are fake! These people mysteriously only reviewed this pan or other Ozeri products. More on that later.Let me explain my experiences with this a bit. I do a lot of weight lifting and thus eat 4 poached eggs a day on the days that I work out. I alternate lower and upper body, and take Saturday and Sunday off. This means that I use this pan at least ten times per week. My wife would also use it a few times/week for quick meals. However, after using it only ONE time, I am very disappointed. In fact, I may decide to return it.The pan certainly is non-stick and seems to conduct the heat evenly as advertised. It is too soon to determine the durability and consistency of the non-stick surface. The ads may be accurate as far as they go, but they do not tell the whole story. The inside bottom of this pan is not flat, but slightly convex. So if you are using a recipe that calls for a small amount of oil, say one or two tablespoons, all of it immediately runs to the sides of the pan. You may argue that you (maybe) don't need any oil with this pan, but that is not the point. You should be able to cook either way. They were great for about a month, then EVERYTHING sticks. The pans don't even wash well. I followed all the directions and still have problems. Of course, they worked well until the 30 days to return them was over. I would love to ship them back, but now I can't. Never again will I buy anything like these pans. |
