Imusa Stainless Steel Stock Pot, 16 Quart Reviews

The handles are very flimsy and are made from thin sheets bent into a round tube, flattened, riveted on, then bent over to form a handle. So flimsy that in fact the handle broke off the first time I used it while carrying 3 gallons of water from the inside sink to my outside bbq burner. Also, as others have noted, the sticker is almost impossible to remove without a harsh solvent to remove the gunk. If I were you I'd buy an encapsulated bottom stainless pot that is made from thicker metal, has solid handles and is actually usable. 20 of 21 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Imusa Stainless Steel Stock Pot, 16 Quart (Kitchen) I just received this pot. I was surprised by how light weight it is. For the price, it is fine but I wouldn't recommend buying it as it is flimsy. Mine was even dirty on the inside. There is a big sticker on the outside that does not come off. It is really a piece of junk. I think it will suit my needs, hopefully it's good enough to boil water in. Wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't even hold up for that purpose. I have gotten much better pots at TJ Max for similar price, unfortunately they are not quite as large as this one. I need 12+ quart. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Imusa Stainless Steel Stock Pot, 16 Quart (Kitchen) the other reviewers are mostly right- it's thin - has a big sticker on the outside (which I managed to remove with some soaking) - it was pretty dirty - just from manufacturing i think. buttt... I bought this thing for homebrewing and is PERFECT for this use. |
