This product arrived to me rusty, extremely dull, flimsy and it did not fulfill its intended purpose well.
This product did not shave ice at all, it merely scraped the surface no matter how hard myself or anyone else
tried to use it and there was practically no shaved ice being made after numerous tries.
Basically do not get this ice shaver, spend some more money and get another because this is not worth
the hassle since you're going to end up possibly returning it as I did.
To give the seller the benefit of the doubt since I am a fair person, maybe the product they gave me was the last one on the shelf that they had in stock.......
but still if a customer orders something expecting it to be brand new as in the seller description, pays for it
and gets a rusty, piece of equipment that did not work, how can the customer trust the seller?
Maybe this review might help them pay more attention to the condition of the product before they ship

I was wary of the product based on the other review available, but having seen a colleague of mine use one, I decided to try it.

It's a very simple piece of equipment. Basically, a plane with a storage container and a flap inside which is supposed to push the ice out (and doesn't do so very well). The blade is removable and adjustable, so the first thing I did was take it out and notice the defects on the cutting edge and resharpen. When I put the blade back in, I adjusted the blade length so that it would shave fairly coarse ice. Washing with hot water and dish soap was enough to remove any industrial oils. This is not stainless steel, so it needs to be very dry before putting away or it will rust.

I found that it took a little big of scraping before it would shave ice reliably. It seems to like very slightly uneven ice, but not too bumpy and not too smooth, in order to scrape the most ice. It's a coarser end product than the stuff you get at fairs and from hand... Read more

It's very inferior quality and the blades were too dull to cut butter, my dad sharpened it for me and I suppose it's just ok now, nothing to rave about!
